Referral Center for Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, Children’s Hospital Zagreb is leading Croatian center for treating children with severe gastrointestinal diseases. That was accomplished by constant learning and education of the staff at leading European facilities in pediatric gastroenterology. Iva Hojsak is a young medical doctor, pediatric resident working at our Referral Center from which we expect to work as a pediatric gastroenterologist, fully competent in the fields of parenteral and enteral nutrition, chronic diarrhea, inflammatory bowel disease and intestinal failure. She should be solving various complex problems of the nutritional support in acutely and chronically ill child as a part of Nutritional Care Team. Therefore she would have to visit one of the leading facilities in pediatric gastroenterology such as Institute of Gastroenterology, Nutrition, and Liver Disease, Schneider Children’s medical center of Israel. During the stay she will work under the mentorship of Professor Raanan Shamir, chairmen of the Institute who is expert in pediatric gastroenterology especially in the field of intestinal failure and nutrition which includes treatment of patients after intestinal transplantation. Experience gained during her stay in Israel will result with incorporation of new treatment procedure - intestinal transplantation in our center. |

Referenenti centar za dječju gastroenterologiju i prehranu Klinike za dječje bolesti Zagreb je vodeći hrvatski centar za liječenje djece s teškim poremećajima probavnog sustava. Navedeno je postignuto trajnom edukacijom osoblja u nekom od vodećih europskih centara. Iva Hojsak je mlada liječnica, specijalizantica pedijatrije koja radi u našem Referentnom centru, a za koju očekujemo da će raditi kao pedijatrijski gastroenterolog, potpuno osposobljena za provođenje parenteralne i enteralne prehrane, kroničnog proljeva, upalnih bolesti crijeva i zatajenja crijeva. Trebala bi rješavati različite složene probleme iz područja nutritivne potpore u akutno i kronično bolesne djece, kao dio tima za nutritivnu potporu. Stoga mora posjetiti jedan od vodećih centara iz područja dječje gastroenterologije, kao što je Institute of Gastroenterology, Nutrition, and Liver Disease, Schneider Children’s medical center of Israel. Tijekom boravka radit će pod mentorstvom prof. Raanana Shamira, voditelja Instituta, koji je jedan od vodećih stručnjaka s područja dječje gastroenterologije, u prvom redu prehrane i zatajenja crijeva, što uključuje i brigu o bolesnicima prije i nakon transplantacije crijeva. Iskustvo koje će steći nakon boravka u Izraelu rezultirat će uvođenjem nove vrste liječenja u RH - peritransplantacijske skrbi u bolesnika s crijevnim transplantatom. |
