The UKF project leader, Assist. Prof. Vilim Filipović, PhD received “2019 Soil Science Society of America Early Career award“
The Soil Science Society of America – SSSA, which counts more than 6000 active members, awarded “2019 Soil Science Society of America Early Career award” to Assist. Prof. Vilim Filipović, PhD from the University of Zagreb - Faculty of Agriculture, who lead UKF project „Environmental and hydrological implications of innovative sprayable biodegradable polymer membrane“.
The award is granted to young scientists in their early stages of career (7 years from PhD), who achieved remarkable accomplishment within soil science field. Considering that for the first time the award was granted to scientist outside the United States this is outstanding achievement.
The award was granted during 2019 ASA-CSSA-SSSA International Annual Meeting, that was held in San Antonio, Texas on November 11th, 2019.
